Policy
Hotels are only able to be booked once the booking is in BK status.
- If a new booking is created and a hotel is added to the reservation, full payment is required at the time of booking
- There are no 24-hour breathers when adding a hotel to an existing voyage booking
- Hotels cannot be booked within 45 days prior to sailing
- Deposits are 20% of full hotel price and are non-refundable outside of grace period (unless insurance was purchased)
- Outside of 120 days until sailing, a deposit of 20%
- Within 120 days of the voyage, final payment is due at the time the hotel is added to the reservation
- When a hotel is added to an existing voyage booking, hotel deposits are due immediately
- For new hotel bookings made outside of 120 days, Sailors have 7 days from the voyage booking creation date to cancel and receive a 100% refund of deposit
- Full payment is due 120 days before sailing
- Any eligible refunds will be sent to the original form of payment

Voyage Protection
- There is no additional charge to include a hotel in voyage protection. The 8% of voyage fare paid includes hotel coverage
- Voyage Protection will cover any non-refundable payments made
- Booking confirmation emails will include hotel name, check-in date, check-out date and room category
- Sailors will receive an additional confirmation email with hotel booking details from Virgin Voyages within 2-3 business days upon booking
Hotel dates can be changed up until 45 days prior to voyage (subject to availability). Applicable price increases will apply.
- Within 45 days: No changes or new hotels bookings can be made
- Non-standard room requests must be treated as a special request at any time prior to voyage
- Name Changes on a hotel booking can be made up until 45 days prior to voyage
