Onboard Payments
You can pay for any onboard expenses using your personal onboard account, via your band. In our retail areas, you'll also be able to pay directly with a credit card.
All transactions on board will be purchased with your onboard account. Funds can be loaded and applied to your account with cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Currencies accepted onboard is USD, so some Sailors may incur foreign transaction fees by their credit card company.
Yes, there will be an ATM available.
The ship has an ATM on board which provides US currency, however currency exchange is not available on board and will need to be conducted on land before embarking.
Nope, there is no charge for fuel supplements. We've got you covered.
During the voyage, Sailors can view their folio and all purchases within the Virgin Voyages App. On the last day of the voyage Sailors will then receive a finalized folio via email and can also view it in the app after disembarking.
While you can only have one card on file at a time, if you need or want to change your credit card, feel free to visit Sailor Services on Deck 5 to make the swap.
Yes. Upon embarkation, we place a "hold" on your credit card on file (just like land-based hotels) for an initial $250 USD authorization. Rest assured, we will only post one final folio total on disembarkation day. For the most accurate details on when your hold will be released, we recommend reaching out to your card provider directly, as processing times can vary.
When purchasing VAT taxed items in our Retail stores, be sure to reach out to a member of our Retail Crew for assistance in filling out the form. Our Retail staff will have designated hours to assist with VAT purchases while on board. Hours of assistance can be found in the Daily Line Up and on the Virgin Voyages app. Please ensure to bring the following items with you to the High Street Shops, Deck 6, Portside:

If you're owed a cash refund, you can collect it from Sailor Services on Deck 5 on the morning of disembarkation.
Missed your pickup? No worries—if the amount is over $100, we'll automatically send you a secure cash link after your voyage. For refunds under $100 USD, please reach out to our Sailor Services Crew, and we’ll be happy to help process your refund.

Your final bill will be automatically charged to the credit card on file. Alternatively, you can settle all or part of your bill in cash through the Sailor Services Team on Deck 5. We accept most worldwide traded currencies including USD, GBP, CAD, and NZD.

Yes, you can update your payment information in the app before your voyage.

Once your card is linked to your onboard account, you won’t need to carry it. All purchases will be processed through your Band (wearable) and will be automatically charged to the card on file on disembarkation day.
To register a new card please visit the Sailor Services Team on Deck 5. Please keep in mind that we may have already put a hold amount on the card which will take 7-10 business days (depending on the bank) to be released.
Banks may decline transactions as a security precaution, requiring you to contact your financial institution. Please visit Sailor Services on Deck 5 to discuss these billing concerns.
Yes, all charges made to your Band (wearable) will be added to your onboard folio, including any charges made by Sailors whose bill you are footing. These charges will be preauthorized to the card you have on file.
