Summer 2028, Valiant Lady becomes the first Lady Ship to sail Scandinavia and the Baltics, homeporting in Amsterdam for a season built from the ground up: 5 sailings in total — 4 brand-new Marvelous Voyages plus 1 Western Europe Crossing — running July 9 through August 25, 2028, with maiden calls at 15 ports across two seas. Every itinerary is new. Every itinerary includes a new port to the fleet. This isn't a region we're adding to the map. It's a map we're drawing for the first time.

Four voyages that build on each other, one region that keeps getting bigger
Take these four back to back and the season tells its own story. Scandinavia & Stockholm Overnight opens wide — five countries, six ports, the broadest introduction to the region we've built. Norwegian Fjords narrows in — no capitals, no crowds, just four ports that feel genuinely discovered, not just visited. Scandinavia & Hamburg goes back to the cities, but stays late enough to actually live in them. And Arctic Circle & Norwegian Fjords goes further than any of them — literally, to 71°N, for a crossing ceremony we've never had a reason to run before.
Opening the season: a Western Europe Crossing, sailing from Barcelona to Amsterdam — a 10-night, 4 country voyage through Morocco, Portugal, Spain and France before the Scandinavia & Baltics season begins.
Scandinavia & Stockholm Overnight
12 nights · Valiant Lady · Amsterdam · July 19–31, 2028
Five countries, six ports, one overnight — the fullest itinerary in the collection. Oslo for a full day of Scandi cool. Copenhagen for a late stay that turns Tivoli Gardens into an evening instead of an afternoon. Gdańsk (docking in Gdynia) for a medieval Old Town most Sailors have never had a reason to see. Stockholm, overnight, for a golden-hour sail-in through the archipelago and a late-afternoon departure the next day. Berlin, reached by direct train from Warnemünde — dock in Germany, be in Berlin by lunch. And Aarhus to close, Denmark's design-forward answer to Copenhagen.
Norwegian Fjords
7 nights · Valiant Lady · Amsterdam · July 31–August 7, 2028
No capital cities. Just the fjords, done properly. Molde, tucked beneath 222 named mountain peaks, with no cruise crowds and a legendary summer jazz festival. Nordfjordeid, genuinely off the beaten path. Flåm, home to one of the steepest standard-gauge railways in the world and a fjord approach that's the most photographed moment in the collection. Bergen closes it out — one of the highest-rated ports in the fleet, UNESCO-listed Bryggen wharf included.
Scandinavia & Hamburg
7 nights · Valiant Lady · Amsterdam · August 7–14, 2028
Three cities, two late stays, no filler. Oslo for a full day at the Munch Museum and the Opera House rooftop. Copenhagen, late stay, for New Nordic dinner and Tivoli after dark. Hamburg, staying until nearly midnight, for the Elbphilharmonie, the Speicherstadt warehouse district, and a nightlife scene most itineraries never give it credit for.
Arctic Circle & Norwegian Fjords ★
11 nights · Valiant Lady · Amsterdam · August 14–25, 2028
Our marquee sailing of the season. Bergen opens it, then the ship heads north across the Arctic Circle itself — marked onboard with an Arctic Circle Crossing Ceremony, modeled on our equator-crossing Happening, plus a midnight sun deck party under 24-hour daylight. Tromsø brings the Arctic Cathedral and husky farm access. Honningsvåg is the gateway to North Cape, the northernmost point reachable by road in mainland Europe. Trondheim and Åndalsnes — the latter docking beneath near-vertical mountain walls, gateway to Trollstigen and the Rauma Railway — carry the fjords theme north and Olden closes it out.
Western Europe Crossing
10 nights · Valiant Lady · Barcelona → Amsterdam
A single sailing to open the season, four countries from the start. Barcelona → Amsterdam (departs July 9) opens with Casablanca — a full day at the Hassan II Mosque and the medina — then Lisbon, overnight, then La Coruña — Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela & Galicia, then Cherbourg, an easy day trip from Mont Saint-Michel.
15 maiden ports, one first-ever region
Every itinerary in this collection includes ports that are new to Virgin Voyages: Oslo, Copenhagen, Gdańsk (Gdynia), Stockholm, Berlin (via Warnemünde), Aarhus, Molde, Nordfjordeid, Flåm, Tromsø, Honningsvåg (North Cape), Trondheim, Åndalsnes, Olden, and Cherbourg. This is the rare release where naming the ports is the news — nowhere on this season has a Virgin Voyages ship been called before.
Two overnights, twice the time to actually be somewhere
Stockholm (Scandinavia & Stockholm Overnight, 12 nights): arrive through the archipelago at golden hour, depart the next afternoon — enough time for the city to stop feeling like a stop.
Lisbon (Western Europe Crossing): overnight in Lisbon — arrive 6pm, depart next day 6pm. A genuine two-day Portugal window — Belém, Sintra, Alfama.
